WHS: What made you contact WHS?
LC: Because I had to try on size 16 trousers! I wanted to know where to start and I also had an impending wedding.
WHS: What do you feel you have achieved since you’ve been at WHS?
LC: I have dropped 4 dress sizes. I’m happier, fitter, healthier and I am much more conscious of how to keep myself healthier rather than relying on someone to tell me. The coaches tell us why we have to do it and it’s not a diet it’s a lifestyle!
WHS: What was your training like before WHS?
LC: It was non-existent I thought gyms were for people in lycra and for people who looked at mirrors and kissed their own arms. I honestly thought gyms were for people who already looked good and I was very scared. I used to be a member at a commercial gym and was scared every time I went in there. There were people who didn’t sweat and looked good after training, it was full of mirrors, that’s enough to put anyone off!
WHS: What’s your training like now?
LC: It’s good fun! The coaches push us to do more than we think we can. If I was on my own I would definitely stop earlier. Having trainers helps and so does the atmosphere of semi-private training. I love the prowler so much I started my own FB group. My favourite training protocol though is 6-12-25’s!

WHS: What’s unique about the training we do?
LC: There is no cardio equipment and no one pretending to work out! There are only people at WHS who genuinely want to train, everyone comes here to work hard. If you want to stand about, posing and not sweating then go to a commercial gym! You don’t need to worry about what you look like when you’re finished as everyone works hard.
WHS: What was your nutrition like before WHS?
LC: I’m a recovering carbaholic! I used to have no breakfast, pasta for lunch with a jacket potato in the evening. Now if it moves I eat it! I actually enjoy eating meat now and I’ll even choose steak at a restaurant. I’d say I’m 98% cavewoman & 2% pizza! I even have ‘warning may contain carbs’ cheat box for my refeed meals!
WHS: How has BioSignature helped you?
LC: It helps you know where you are. In my opinion there is no point in starting something unless you know where you are. Otherwise you’re going in blind. Also the coaches can tell if I’ve cheated, makes me think about what I’m eating.
WHS: What have you learned?
LC: Not to eat processed food! I’ve learnt to eat properly and I’ve learnt I can work a lot harder than I thought I could.
WHS: What would you tell others about your experience of WHS?
LC: Most people notice my weight loss and say ‘Lynz where you gone?! Some workers genuinely thought I had an eating disorder but I put it down to jealousy! But now they ask questions as they know I’m ‘fine’! Even my parents are asking for my advice. WHS: In one sentence what makes us different to other gyms?
LC: You do exactly what it says on the tin by keeping your promises.
WHS: What’s next for you?
LC: I want to get to under 14% body fat and be able to do 12 chin ups by the end of 2011.
